Industry consultation identified the need for an alternative transmission and torque converter bench testing service. This prompted Powertrain Services to design and manufacture a test bench for the specific purpose of being able to performance test and adjust to OEM specifications, mining and earthmoving transmissions and torque converters.
The advantages of bench testing:
- Adjust to OEM specification
- Identify any possible assembly issues
- Minimum delays once the component is reinstalled onsite
- Specialized Fitters carrying out the testing
Each transmission and torque converter tested has a detailed report that can be utilized as part of a planned maintenance programme. This data assists the benchmarking for that component’s future planned maintenance.
All transmissions and torque converters are treated with VCI oil which allows extended storage times should the component be part of your own exchange program.
